Team LAMPRE-MERIDA is proud to welcome a new sponsor and official supplier: starting in 2015 Suomy Spa will provide to Rui Costa, Pozzato and their team mates road and time trial helmets.
Suomy brand has always identified the helmets worn by motorbike champions such as Max Biaggi, Loris Capirossi, Troy Bayliss, Ben Bostrom and many others and it obtained 18 world champion titles in motorsport.
The Italian company has decided that it’s time to face directly and with enthusiasm the challenge of the market of the sports...without engine and, obviously, it will start from cycling.
The main target of Suomy is included in the motto that has always characterized the company: “born to be #1”.
Suomy worked in the production of the helmets for cycling the competence of its qualified team work and to achieve the goal it exploited the knowledge, collected in motorbike, concerning the technical materials and the data from wind tunnel.
The practical theory from laboratory and wind tunnel is not enough, it’s necessary to cooperate with the human being, with the most careful athlete, with the most accurate team in order to improve the products: these are the qualities Suomy encountered in team Lampre-Merida.
